Our Administration

In 1997, New York State lawmakers passed Universal Prekindergarten legislation (UPK) providing half-day preschool funding for children who turn age 4 by December 1st of the given year. Shortly after this legislation was enacted, the Montessori Center of Nyack began offering UPK classes to the children of Rockland County. We expanded our program to accommodate full-day students when the state made this option available.

Full-day state-funded students are taught in our Second Floor Classroom.

Half-day state-funded children are taught in our Downstairs, Main Floor and Second Floor Classrooms.

Please consult your individual school district for additional information regarding the application process.
